Branches Community Wellbeing: Beginning Something Special 8th August 2026
On Saturday 8th August, something quietly powerful begins at Druridge Bay Community Centre in Hadston. From 9.30am to 12.30pm, we’re opening our doors for the launch of Branches Community Wellbeing — a new local not-for-profit company created to support adults who are feeling isolated, overwhelmed, worn down, or simply unsure where to turn next.
This isn’t a big flashy event. It’s a gentle beginning. A chance to meet us, hear what we’re building, and see how our support spaces and wellbeing activities can offer a softer place to land.
Why Branches?
Many adults in our communities are carrying more than people realise. Some are supporting loved ones in an unpaid caring role. Some are juggling work, family, and life’s pressures while feeling constantly tired or stretched thin. Others are living with loneliness, low mood, or the sense that life has become a bit too much.
Branches exists for all of them — and for anyone who needs connection, understanding, and a way forward.
What You’ll Find at Our Soft Launch
Our soft launch is a chance to explore what we’re creating:
Under the Canopy — a warm, welcoming space where you can pause, breathe, and share a brew and a biscuit with people who understand real life.
My Way Forward — gentle peer support for adults who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure how to move ahead.
Compassionate Caregiver Course — for adults supporting other adults, offering practical tools, emotional support, and a community that truly gets it.
Wellbeing activities designed to help you reconnect with yourself, reduce stress, and feel more grounded.
You’ll be able to chat with us, ask questions, and get a feel for the heart behind Branches — a company built on compassion, community, and the belief that everyone deserves support that actually understands them.
Your Voice Matters
We’re shaping Branches with the community, not for it. At the soft launch, you’ll be able to share your thoughts, ideas, and experiences. What support do you wish existed? What would make life feel a little lighter? What would help you feel more connected?
Your feedback will guide what we build next — and you’ll be able to share it easily through our Google Form. Link Below.
