Our Spaces for Support
At Branches Community Wellbeing, our spaces are designed to nurture connection, care, and calm. Each one offers a gentle place to pause — whether you’re sharing a cup of coffee, finding peer support, or exploring ways to care for your own wellbeing.
Rooted in compassion and community, these spaces grow from the same belief: that everyone deserves a place to belong, to be heard, and to find strength together.
Here, support is offered with warmth and respect — never rushed, never imposed. Just open doors, kind conversations, and the chance to take things at your own pace.
The Compassionate Café is a welcoming space at the heart of our community — a place to pause, connect, and feel supported just as you are.
Created through The Branches Community Wellbeing Initiative, it offers a warm and inclusive environment where connection grows naturally over a cuppa, a conversation, or a quiet moment shared.
The Compassionate Café is not about formal support or fixing problems; it’s about creating space for people to come together with kindness, understanding, and choice — a place where no one has to feel alone.
Whether you come for company, conversation, creativity, or calm, the Compassionate Café is a space where belonging matters, wellbeing is nurtured, and community continues to flourish.
My Way Forward is a gentle, supportive space for carers to pause, breathe, and explore their next steps — at their own pace and in their own way.
Built on the understanding that carers often carry so much, quietly and continuously, it offers a space where people can feel heard, valued, and supported without judgement, pressure, or expectation.
This is not about giving advice or telling anyone what to do.
It’s about walking alongside carers with compassion, understanding, and a steady presence when life feels overwhelming or uncertain.
Through 1:1 peer support, carers connect with someone who truly understands the emotional weight, exhaustion, love, and complexity that caring can bring. Together, they explore what matters most, what feels manageable, and what support may help create a greater sense of balance, confidence, and wellbeing.
My Way Forward is rooted in compassion, dignity, and choice — a space where carers do not have to face things alone, where every experience matters, and where even the smallest steps forward are meaningful.
The Compassionate Caregiver Course is a gentle and supportive space for those caring for a loved one — offering time to pause, reflect, and reconnect with yourself while learning practical ways to support your own wellbeing alongside the care you give to others.
Over six weeks, the course explores what it means to care with compassion — not only for the person you support, but for yourself as well. Each session combines understanding, reflection, and simple wellbeing practices to help navigate the emotional, physical, and mental demands that caregiving can bring.
Alongside emotional wellbeing and self-care, we also explore the person behind the diagnosis — recognising that every individual is more than their condition, and that carers already hold deep knowledge and understanding of the person they support. The course creates space to gently explore additional ways of understanding needs, communication, behaviours, comfort, and connection, while honouring each carer’s lived experience and relationship.
Together, we look at some of the practical and physiological aspects of care, including recognising changes in wellbeing, understanding common physical needs, and learning how to respond calmly and confidently in an emergency situation. There is also opportunity to share practical tips, lived wisdom, and everyday experiences with others who understand the realities and complexities of caregiving.
Rooted in kindness, dignity, and connection, the Compassionate Caregiver Course recognises the whole person behind the caring role. It is a space where carers can feel supported, valued, and reminded that they do not have to carry everything alone.
Whether you are caring for a partner, parent, child, friend, or neighbour, this course offers encouragement, understanding, and compassionate support — helping you move forward with greater ease, confidence, and care for yourself as well as others.
